So, it all started in 1910 and Alfa Romeo had been an independent car manufacturer up till 1986, when it was taken over by Fiat. The Alfa from the name of the company are characters that stand for Anonima Lombarda Farbbrica Automobili, but the company has been anything than anonymous. The second part of the name derives from the director of the company back in 1915, Nicola Romeo. The badge of the company, is a prestigious one, as you will be able to notice in most of the Alfa Romeo wallpapers from our web site. The badge was created by Romano Cattaneo, who projected it inspired by the biscione, which was a human child bearing serpent. The badge was modified in 1915 after Nicola Romeo became the head of the company, and the emblem for the city of Milan was also included in the design.
