The Corvette is a sports car from Chevrolet, a model that has been available ever since the 1950s. The very first car was launched in 1953 actually. The present place where they manufacture the Corvette is in a General Motors plant in Kentucky .

As mentioned earlier, the first Corvette from Chevrolet, was a solid axle automobile, and was available until 1962. These cars had a classy look, and were assembled by hand in each and every stage of the production – it is no wonder that only 300 such cars were available. However, this made the Corvette a very sought after model. During the years, many changes in design and engine type were registered. The majority of the models featured a V engine, thing which was highlighted also in the logo of the car, having a bigger V than the rest of the letters in the word Corvette.
